When it comes to beauty, as you can see, banana is a super food, feeding our skin with essential minerals and vitamins whether we eat it or apply it on our skin. Therefore, one should make it a part of the daily diet and beauty routine.
1. Skin moisturizer
Banana rich in potassium and moisture, it will be helpful for dry skin type, making it soft and supple and moisturizes. If your skin is peeling and dry, simply apply a banana face mask on your face making skin soft.
Get a small bowl, mash up a ripe banana with the back of your fork, and apply to your face all over, avoiding the area around your eye and mouth. Then rinse with cold water after 10 to 15 minutes and enjoy the soft and glowing feel of your skin.
2. Oil control
If you have oily greasy skin, use a simple mixture of banana face mask with lemon juice and honey. Banana is a great exfoliator which helps slough off excess sebum on skin surface. It is also rich in moisture, potassium, and vitamins E and C which help to promote clear glowing skin.
Mash a ripe banana with the back of a fork and combine 1 tablespoon of raw honey and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice to make an amazing face mask. Rinse off with a wet cloth or cold water.
3. Anti-aging Face-masks
Powerful nutrients in bananas help to fight wrinkles, keeping the skin youthful and glowing. To create an anti-aging mask, you need to mash together an avocado and a banana. Then apply it on your face and leave on skin for 25 minutes, then rinse with warm water. After applying it, see the difference on your skin, your skin will be softer and moreyouthful than usual.
Another powerful and easy to make facemask used to fight the effects of aging is a combination of bananas and rose water. Mash 1/4 banana to get very creamy pasta mix it with one teaspoon of rose water and apply it on face and leave for about 30 minutes and wash it off with warm water.
You can also use banana peels that are loaded with rich nutrients which are more important for our skin, especially wrinkles. Just by applying fresh peel for 15 minutes every day you will see a noticeable change on your face.
You can also use bananas to treat puffy eyes – mash half a banana, apply around the puffy eyes, let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse the mask with cool water. This mask is very effective due to the rich amount of potassium that draws out excess fluid from under the skin reducing the swelling immediately. One can also apply the banana peels to treat puffy eyes.
4. Exfoliate Skin
Cells Gently slough off dead cells on the surface of the skin using banana and other skin friendly kitchen ingredients, such as coconut oil and oatmeal. Oatmeal has an abrasive texture that will help scour off excess dead cells on the skin surface while banana and coconut milk will keep the oatmeal from over exfoliating skin and hydrate and nourish skin.
5. Get Rid of the Dead and Damaged Skin Cells
Another amazing benefit of bananas is, it help to recover the damaged and dead skin cells. A banana scrub acts as an excellent defoliator as it contain a high content of anti-oxidants, which besides helping to remove the dead and damaged skin cells and also help to make your skin feel fresh and glowing.

Make mixture of ripe banana and milk (2 tablespoons) of uncooked rice along with (one) tablespoon of coconut milk. Blend this mixture to form a smooth paste and apply this banana and rice scrub on your skin and massage gently for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water to reveal smooth and supple skin.
In order to make a body scrub, mix 2 mashed bananas along with 4 to 5 strawberries and then blend them together. Now by adding 3 tablespoons of sugar to this mixture apply it as body scrub before going for a bath.
6. Get Rid of Stubborn Acne with Bananas
Banana peels are important in curing even the most stubborn acne, you can use a banana peel to treat acne. You need to peel the banana and then cut the peels into small equal pieces. Now gently rub with the inner part of the peels on the acne affected regions of face. Continue rubbing peels for at least 5 minutes or until the peel turns into brownish color. Then leave the banana on your skin till it becomes dry. Now wash your skin with warm water. Do repaet this procedure at least thrice a day to obtain the best results.
